The current wind storm outside has damaged one of the trees near the Tracy Avenue entrance to the Secondary Campus, taking out a telephone pole equipped with electrical utilities on it. Please do not use the Tracy Avenue entrance as we work with Euclid Fire Department and the Illuminating Company to address the downed power lines.
Students will exit the building as usual. Parents picking up their student/s will enter the parking lot via the Tracy Ave. Exit Drive. After picking up their student, cars will be directed through the high school lot to E. 222nd at Wilmore.
Euclid Schools personnel will be outside to help direct traffic.

Panthers, we can't wait to see you back and ready to learn tomorrow, Monday, January 8, 2024. Don't forget to get to bed early and set those alarms to be well rested and on time ⏰️

Good evening,
Earlier today, the district received a bomb threat via email claiming to be from a foreign terrorist group. This email was very general and sent to many districts across the state and country, including several in Northeast Ohio. This threat has been deemed not credible. We are currently working with the Euclid Police Department and other safety officials. The Cleveland Joint Terrorism Task Force and the FBI are presently tracking several of these incidents across Ohio. An identical situation happened earlier this week in Texas.
As always, safety in our Euclid Schools is our top priority. We take all threats seriously and work with public safety officials to determine the credibility of a threat. As a precaution, the Euclid Schools will have an extra police presence available at our schools tomorrow. Our staff will also complete a full safety sweep of each building before opening for school tomorrow.
This situation is a good reminder for our Euclid families to always report safety tips and concerns to the District through the See Something, Say Something SafeLine - (216) 797-STOP (7867).
Unless directed otherwise, we expect a typical school day tomorrow, Monday, December 11th.
Thank you,
Christopher Papouras
Superintendent
Euclid City Schools

Today is Veterans Day and the Euclid Schools join the rest of the United States in saluting our brave U.S. Military veterans. With respect, honor and gratitude, we thank all veterans and military personnel and their families for their sacrifice and service to our country.

Two pieces of good news: all students have been picked up and are on their way home. We're also told that the Police situation on 250th has been resolved. We look forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow morning!

As the Police incident taking place on E. 250th is still an active scene, students who remain on buses will be transported to the Field House at Euclid Middle School where parents can pick up their student/s. Parents will need to bring a State ID or proof of custody to pick-up their child.
The Euclid Middle School is located at 22555 Tracy Ave. Euclid, OH 44123. The Field House can be accessed via the Main Entrance to the school (Door 19). Please see the attached map to see a visual of the entrance.
We will have two buses available on stand-by for any student who is unable to be picked up from the Field House.

Police have advised that the incident in the 700 block of E. 250th is an active scene and are asking everyone to please avoid that area.

We have been informed that there is an ongoing Police incident taking place in the 700 block of E. 250th St. Euclid Schools buses will not drop off any student within a two-street radius of that area until the situation has been resolved. Students with a drop-off location inside that radius will remain on their bus until we have received an ALL-CLEAR from Euclid Police.

Happy Election Day! Remember that Euclid School Buildings will be closed to students today for voting and teacher professional development. Classes will resume on November 8th.

The Euclid City School District was saddened to learn about the passing of Jack Sawyer this weekend. Jack served as a Captain for the Cardinals football team when the Panthers traveled to Mentor, and his strength and determination will be remembered by our seniors and coaches who met Jack before the game.
His presence that evening left a profound impact on our entire football team and fans in attendance. Our brief interaction with Jack and the appreciation we feel to be included in such a special night will always serve as the best reminder that “some things are bigger than football.”
Our deepest sympathy goes to the Sawyer family and the Mentor Cardinal community as they deal with the loss of such a special person. We can only imagine the impact Jack’s life had on his community, the Mentor Schools, and most of all, his family. #JBSStrong

Don't forget to change your clocks tonight as Daylight Savings Time ends and clocks "fall" back one hour!
