From March 27th through March 30th, Euclid High School lit up the stage with its annual Big Show production—this year presenting the high-energy, cheer-infused musical Bring It On. Over the course of five incredible performances, students delivered showstopping routines, heartfelt storytelling, and an inspiring message that brought audiences to their feet and proudly showcased the talent within our school community.
Directed by Steffahn Maclin in his debut as Big Show Director, and supported by Assistant Director Danielle Witwer, Bring It On: The Musical explored the competitive world of high school cheerleading and the personal growth that comes when we’re faced with unexpected change. The story followed Campbell Davis, portrayed by Honey Jackson, a driven cheerleader whose transfer to a rival school challenges her ideas of friendship, leadership, and what it truly means to succeed.
The cast brought unmatched energy and authenticity to the stage. Lavi Jackson captivated audiences as Danielle, the confident and passionate leader of the Jackson High dance crew. Supporting roles were brought to life by Marasia Johnson (Skyler), Simone Simon (Nautica), Jeremiah Schaffer (La Cienega), Javin Jackson (Randall), Timothy Smith (Cameron), Joshua Murphy (Twig), Skyler Wells (Bridget), R’riel Hall (Eva), Sophie Johnson (Kylar), and JuWaun Hudson (Steven).
The ensemble—comprising Mariyah Brooks, William Bruce, Evan Jimenez, Laylah Smith, Benjamin Britt, Millie Johnson, Ajeanene Maxwell, Je’Auna Brown, Daisha Hodges, Hope Knauer, Mackenzie Hernandez, Harmony Ervin, Joyce Gonzalez, Zoë Blue, Mya Bowie, Jessica Hicks, Danel Polack, and Jessiah Rogers—was the heartbeat of the show, filling the stage with dynamic choreography, vocal strength, and coordinated movement that elevated every scene.
“Big Show is more than a performance—it’s a demonstration of student growth, collaboration, and resilience,” said Director Steffahn Maclin. “Watching these students embrace their roles, overcome challenges, and support each other through the creative process has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career.”
Euclid High School applauds the entire cast and crew for their dedication and professionalism throughout months of preparation. The success of Bring It On was not only measured by sold-out crowds and standing ovations but by the bonds created, the lessons learned, and the excellence achieved both on and off the stage.
As the curtain closes on this year’s Big Show, we extend our deepest thanks to the students, staff, families, and community members who made it possible. Congratulations to the entire Bring It On company for a phenomenal run and for reminding us all what it means to lead with purpose, respond with creativity, and perform with heart.
