Euclid High School’s wrestling program had a strong showing at the Euclid Sectional Tournament on February 22, 2025, with three Panthers making impressive finishes and one advancing to the next round of competition.

Mikhail Stitt led the way with a 3rd place finish, securing his spot at the Canton Hoover District Tournament from February 28 to March 1, 2025. Stitt’s performance at districts will determine if he moves on to the OHSAA State Wrestling Tournament in Columbus on March 7-9, 2025.

Teammates Joshua Murphy and Sanna Young also made their mark at sectionals. Murphy placed 5th, and Young finished 6th in the girls’ division, putting forth a strong effort against tough competition.

This opportunity is made possible through the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), which organizes these postseason tournaments to allow student-athletes to compete at the highest level.

As Stitt prepares for districts, the Euclid community is behind him, cheering for his success and hoping to see him take the mat in Columbus. Congratulations to all three wrestlers on their accomplishments, and best of luck to Mikhail as he continues his journey to the state tournament!
