Euclid High School Football team helping on Election Day

Euclid High School students and student-athletes demonstrated remarkable community spirit on Election Day by volunteering at polling sites and raising funds for the school’s football program. This fall, Coach Damion Creel coordinated a unique opportunity for ten Euclid High students who trained as poll workers and served at various polling locations throughout the city. Each student earned $220 for their contribution, providing essential support to Euclid’s election operations while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in civic engagement.

In a deeper commitment to Election Day efforts, Coach Creel and his staff took the football team and student managers to the Board of Elections warehouse, where they played a crucial role in managing and organizing election materials. The dedication and teamwork shown by Euclid High School students, athletes, and educators were instrumental in ensuring a smooth and successful election process for the community.

This initiative builds upon a similar effort from last spring when approximately 60 Euclid students and coaches participated, raising $4,000 for the football program. With about 30 team members involved this fall, the program anticipates an additional $2,400 to support its activities and growth.

By combining community service with meaningful fundraising, Euclid High School students and athletes continue strengthening the bond between their school and the city. This collaboration proudly reflects Euclid High School’s commitment to service, teamwork, and community engagement.
