Gold Medal winning portrait "Drip"

Euclid High School is proud to announce that Senior Sireniti Brown has been honored with a Gold Medal in the 2024 National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for her exceptional artwork titled Portrait Drip. Her achievement places her among the nation’s most talented young artists, with her piece set to be featured in the Online Galleries at artandwriting.org. Sireniti’s Gold Medal was officially delivered this week, marking a moment of great pride for our entire school community.

The National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, presented annually by The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, is a distinguished non-profit organization committed to celebrating the creativity of teens nationwide. Out of more than 260,000 submissions from over 100,000 students across the United States, less than 2,000 works were awarded a National Medal this year. Sireniti’s artwork was carefully selected by some of the most esteemed leaders in the visual and literary arts, a testament to her incredible talent and dedication.

Founded in 1923, the Scholastic Awards have a long history of recognizing the nation’s emerging artists and writers, with past honorees including renowned figures such as Stephen King, Tschabalala Self, and Andy Warhol. Sireniti’s achievement places her in distinguished company and highlights the outstanding artistic talent fostered within our Studio Art and Visual Design Career Tech Program.

This isn’t the first recognition of Sireniti’s remarkable artistic vision. Earlier this year, she received a Gold Key award in the regional Scholastic Art Competition, paving the way for her national recognition.

Congratulations to Sireniti and her teacher, Ms. Garbincus, for their exemplary representation of the Studio Art and Visual Design Career Tech Program. We look forward to seeing more remarkable work from Sireniti and wish her continued success in all her future artistic endeavors!
