Football players and the educators they honored with jerseys
In honor of tonight’s Senior Night, Head Football Coach Damion Creel had his Seniors select a teacher or staff member that had a positive impact on them during their time at Euclid High School. Each Senior gave their jersey to their chosen teacher and asked them to wear it throughout the day.

Coach Creel started the Jersey Exchange program 10 years ago when he first became a head coach. The purpose of the program is to build positive student/teacher relationships, which helps improve school climate.

“There are very few times that students take the time to say thank you,” Coach Creel said. “This is just a small token of thanks that hopefully brightens the teachers’ day and helps them realize the difference they’re making in our young people’s lives.”

“The thoughtfulness behind this event shows how much our football staff cares about our students, and I know it means a great deal to both the students and staff,” Superintendent Chris Papouras said.

The Jersey Exchange will be an annual event for our football team to recognize the important role educators play in the lives of students and will help further strengthen #OneEuclid.

Congratulations to all of the amazing teachers that were honored and all of the Seniors playing their final game at Euclid Community Stadium tonight!
