Students holding baby rabbits

Mother rabbit, Starfire, recently welcomed nine healthy kits to the world.

The Urban Agriculture Career Tech program looks after a number of angora rabbits that provide hair trimmings to create yarn and other textile goods. The Rabbits are part of the Urban Agriculture's livestock education. In addition to the rabbits, the students also look after goats, chickens and ducks.

The rabbits were very small and mostly hairless on their birth, but after two weeks, they've started standing on their own and have grown healthy hair to help keep them warm.
