Career Tech
The Lake Shore Compact is the Career-Technical Planning District (CTPD) for the Euclid, Mentor, Wickliffe and Willoughby-Eastlake School districts. Transportation is provided to students attending programs out-of-district. Students remain in and
graduate from their home high school. Some career-technical programs require that a student be away from the home school for all or most of the day. This usually has no impact on extracurricular activities for students.
The Lake Shore Compact offers both career-technical and college tech prep programs. The goal of a career-technical program is to provide entry-level job placement and skills upon graduation. Most programs are for two years; students are eligible to attend in the junior and senior year(s). These programs provide work experience with pay and credit, usually in the second semester of the
senior year.
Examples of Courses offered are Criminal Justice, Auto-Tech, CISCO and Culinary Arts. For a complete list and other pertinent information, please read the documents below.
